The March 10, 2018, Spring Cleaning Bonanza – was a mega “yard sale” started from a FDW member suggestion. It was powered by the great women of FDW gathering donations and volunteering to help with the myriad of activities necessary to have a great event. And Ladies… did we ever!
The commitment to success was clear and evident starting with volunteers showing up on Thursday night to create of promotional and table signs, and the collection, sorting, and pricing of donations. As the sun rose on the Fayette County Democratic HQ parking lot we had a fierce contingent of women backed up by a few strong men to set up tables and put out the multitude of donations. As shoppers began to arrive, more members joined our early risers to help in every way.
