Fayette Democratic Women welcomed Sarah Riggs Amico to its April 20, 2019 Meeting.  2018 Lieutenant Governor candidate Sarah Riggs Amico was the guest speaker at the FDW April meeting. Amico ran one of the hardest-fought and highly-publicized campaigns in Georgia’s history. Amico spoke about voting irregularities, women’s rights and what to keep our eyes on in 2019.

Currently, Amico continues to serve as the Director of Jack Cooper Holdings Corp., and has been a featured speaker for Wells Fargo’s Transportation CEO Conference, the Wells Fargo Women in Capital Markets program, the Harvard Business School’s “Dynamic Women in Business Conference” and continues to speak on healthcare, voting rights and bettering democracy all over Georgia. Amico received her B.A. in Political Science magna cum laude from Washington & Lee University and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She is a mother of two girls, Sofia (8) and Ava (6) and happily married to her husband Andrea.  Amico and four generations of her family reside in Marietta, Georgia.
