The FDW had the pleasure of having Mr. Bren Briggs, founder of THE EDEN PROJECT, and Ms. Sabrina Crawford, founder of GIGI’s HOUSE as its guest speakers during its July 20, 2019 general membership meeting. Mr. Brigg’s shared THE EDEN PROJECT mission and the remarkable work being done to help Georgia Veterans reintegrate with their families and community by providing programs to cope with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and opioid addiction. Ms. Crawford discussed the significant work GIGI’S HOUSE is doing to help young girls escape the abyss of human trafficking in Georgia and reenter society with the skills they need to succeed. The FDW has selected these two local nonprofits to be the recipients of a portion of the proceeds from their upcoming fundraising brunch on Sat, Aug 17, 2019, at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City, 9:30 am to 1 pm (http://bit.ly/fdwbrunch2019).
