As part of its ROAR project, FDW donates new and gently used children’s books to nonprofits and other organizations that support families in the greater Fayette community. On Sat, Nov 16, 2019, FDW members Marcia Dunscomb (left) and Larris Marks (right) presented over 300 children’s books to Sherrie Hurd, Bloom Volunteer Coordinator (center). Bloom is a Fayetteville-based nonprofit that provides assistance to foster children in Georgia. Bloom’s foster care program is centered around the operation of “The Bloom Closet”, a children’s boutique that supplies foster children with free clothing and other items, including new and gently used children’s books.
