At their May 19, 2018 meeting, Fayette Democratic Women signed a contract pledging to vote for candidates who support sensible gun legislation. This was in response to the initiative begun by students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. These students created the organization “Parents Promise To Kids” to ensure that children’s voices are heard even though they are not yet of voting age.
