Congratulations to Mayor Ed Johnson and to Councilmen Darryl Langford and Joe Clark for winning their elections and leading our Blue Wave for Fayette County. Mayor Johnson and Councilmen Langford & Clark were sworn in on January 9, 2020, at the Fayetteville City Council Ceremony prior to the general council meeting. Many members of FDW and FCDC were in attendance to share in the excitement of this historic occasion. The hard work of many of our communities to make phone calls, knock on doors, wave signs, and financially support their campaigns paid off with the victories for these three distinguished individuals. There were so many enthusiastic families, friends, and constituents of these elected officials, it was hard to get the room cleared for the regular city council meeting to convene. Our presence was noted and joy of victory was clear.
