The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America’s history and are instrumental in its future success.

Most of us are aware of current news about Asian/Pacific American human rights offensive in current news. We have heard about the harm inflicted on Native Americans and African Americans by the US Government throughout our American history. Many of us are familiar with the Japanese Internment Camps that were often referenced during the imprisonment of immigrant children during the Trump’s Child Separation policy at the Border in 2019. These historic milestones of denial and refusal of rights for Asian/Pacific Americans during the same periods are historic events not found in many US History books. Please read and be informed:

During our May Monthly Meeting on May 15, we will reference the following documentary during the program. We encourage everyone to watch it even if they are unable to attend the event.

Our America: Asian Voices, an ABC Documentary that gives a broad history of Asian Americans in the United States.
