John Lewis Day of Action

John Lewis Day of Action Saturday – Join virtually or find a ‘votercade’ to participate in as we highlight our need to protect the vote.
In state legislatures across the country, our right to vote is under attack. But we know the collective power of our voices is meaningful in ensuring that every eligible voter is registered and able to cast their vote freely. That’s why Georgia Federation of Democratic Women is proud to participate in the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Action Day — a national day of action on May 8 where people in every corner of the country will hit the streets to urge Congress to pass critical voting reforms to protect and ensure every American’s right to vote. As part of this Day of Action, volunteers and voting partners across the country are organizing car caravan “Votercades” and marches in a national show of support for voting rights. FDW is encouraging our community (friends, family, colleagues) to get out there to show your support for the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the For the People Act.
